Over the May day weekend at Lake Tinaroo, North Queensland a total of 96 boats competed.
With Nacra’s taking the top spots in both catamaran division.
Division 1 saw the Nacra Infusion take the top 7 spots.
With Dale Mitchell managing to win comfortably. Dale is an ex skiff-dinghy sailor and has come to grips with the speed of the Nacra. The courses set meant for some great spinnaker reaches across the lake.
Division 2 saw the new Nacra 430 take out top spot.
It even managed to get a 2nd and 3rd on handicap against the much bigger F-18 in 2 races.
The weekend provided moderate to strong breezes with long and testing courses over the entire lake.
It was a great social weekend with all competitors camping at regatta, with the traditional fires roaring well into the night.
